Evergreen is a restaurant website concept built to balance atmosphere with the practical information a diner needs. The design uses seasonal storytelling and food-led imagery, but the menu and reservation journey remain the centre of the experience.
The aim
Restaurant websites can become visually impressive but frustrating to use, particularly on a phone. This concept was planned around the common decisions a visitor makes: understand the style of food, view the menu, check essential details and book a table.
Structure before decoration
The homepage opens with a direct booking action and an introduction to the current menu. Signature dishes and seasonal content add character further down the page without hiding the practical routes a visitor is looking for.
- Prominent booking calls to action.
- Clear menu previews with room for seasonal updates.
- Mobile layouts that keep essential information easy to reach.
- Editorial typography and imagery that support the restaurant’s atmosphere.
- A flexible structure that could grow into events, private dining or gift pages.
What the concept demonstrates
The project shows how a website can create a sense of place without becoming difficult to navigate. Visual storytelling earns attention, but clear hierarchy turns that attention into a useful next step.
