How we’ll work together
Work out what the site needs to do.
We start with your services, your customers and the enquiries you want. I’ll help map out the pages and flag what content is missing. If you already have a site, we’ll also look at the pages and links that should be carried across.
Get the design right, then build.
You’ll see the proposed direction and have the chance to give feedback before the full build moves ahead. The layout is considered for phones as well as larger screens, including how someone finds a service and gets in touch.
Check the details and hand it over.
Before launch, I check the agreed pages, forms, links and mobile layouts. We’ll agree who handles the hosting and domain changes, and I’ll explain how to update the everyday content. Ongoing support can be arranged separately.
A few useful answers
Can you redesign my website without changing every page?
Yes. Sometimes the homepage, navigation or a few service pages need attention while the rest can stay. Send me the site and explain what is bothering you; I’ll help work out a sensible scope.
Will I be able to edit the website myself?
Yes. The WordPress build is set up so you can manage the agreed content, such as text, images, articles and projects. More substantial layout or feature changes may need development work.
Do I need all my text and photographs ready?
Not for the first conversation. A rough outline is enough to get started. We’ll agree what you’ll supply and where you need help, so missing copy or images do not become a surprise near launch.
How long does a small business website take?
That depends on the number of pages, features and how ready the content is. I’ll give you a proposed schedule with the quote, including the points where I need your feedback. A launch date is agreed around that scope.
