Pest Control Services & Maintenance provides pest control for homes, landlords and businesses across Derbyshire. The project combined a visual redesign with a practical SEO clean-up so the site could present the company more consistently and support the way local customers search for help.

The problem behind the redesign

The existing website had grown over time. Useful information was spread across pages with inconsistent titles, uneven content and different visual treatments. Visitors could not always tell which service or location page was most relevant, and the structure made it harder for search engines to understand the relationship between them.

Pest control is also a high-intent search. Somebody dealing with rats, wasps or another urgent problem wants a quick answer, but they still need enough detail to trust the company they are contacting. The redesign had to balance speed, reassurance and useful information.

A clearer service and location structure

The site was reorganised around the pests people search for and the areas the company genuinely serves. Related pages were linked together and repeated information was reduced so each important URL had a clearer job.

Headings and introductions were rewritten to answer the immediate question first: what the service covers, where it is available and how to get help. Longer detail follows for visitors who need to understand the treatment or compare options.

SEO improvements built into the pages

  • Clearer page titles and descriptions for priority services.
  • More consistent headings and natural local language.
  • Internal links between pest, location and contact content.
  • Improved mobile layouts and more visible calls to action.
  • Structured data and cleaner technical foundations.
  • A content plan that can grow around real seasonal questions.

Designing around trust

The visual system was simplified so contact details, services and reassurance points are easier to scan. Consistent colours, spacing and typography help the business feel established, while real service detail does more of the trust-building than generic claims.

The site also makes a clearer distinction between the company’s work and issues outside its control. That matters in a service business where customers may be worried, in a hurry or unsure what kind of treatment they need.

A stronger platform for local growth

The completed site is easier to navigate and gives important local service pages much stronger content foundations. Organic visibility is not treated as a one-off switch; the structure now makes it easier to add seasonal guidance, answer common questions and strengthen pages over time.

The project shows how design and SEO work best together. Clearer pages help Google understand the site, but they also help a real customer decide whether to call.
