SEO & website support
Practical support for small business websites, whether you need to improve your search foundations or keep an existing WordPress site in good shape.
Start with what’s there.
I’ll review your pages, site structure and technical setup to see what may be holding things back. The aim is to identify useful changes and explain why they matter.
Pages written for your customers.
Clear service pages, helpful answers and sensible internal links give visitors and search engines a better understanding of the business. I can help organise and improve that content.
Help after launch.
Websites need attention over time. I can help with WordPress updates, content changes, hosting and maintenance, with the scope agreed around your site.
Can you guarantee a ranking?
No. Search results depend on several factors and change over time. I’ll be clear about what I can improve, what needs ongoing work and what we can reasonably measure.
How we’ll work together
Understand the problem first.
Send me your website and explain what has changed or what you would like it to do better. Where available, access to Search Console and analytics helps us distinguish low visibility from a page that gets visits but few enquiries.
Agree the useful changes.
I’ll explain the priorities in plain language. These might include a clearer service page, broken-link fixes, better titles or a technical issue affecting access to the site. We’ll agree the scope before changes are made, including anything that needs input from your host.
Review what happens next.
For search work, we can agree which pages and measures to review over time. For maintenance, we’ll set out the tasks and frequency. You should know what has been done, what still needs attention and which requests fall outside the agreed work.
A few useful answers
Do I need a new website before working on SEO?
Not always. Many improvements can be made to the site you already have. I’ll look at the structure, content and technical setup first. A rebuild only makes sense if the existing site is getting in the way of the changes you need.
Can you help a business that serves several local areas?
Yes. The starting point is to explain your real services and coverage clearly. Where an area needs its own page, that page should offer useful local information rather than repeat the same text with a different town name.
How soon will SEO changes make a difference?
There is no fixed timetable. It depends on the starting point, the changes and the competition. Search engines also need time to revisit pages. We can agree a review period and use available data to assess progress without promising a particular position.
What is included in WordPress maintenance?
The tasks are agreed for your site. They may include updates, backup checks, content edits and troubleshooting. Hosting, paid plugin renewals and larger development work should be listed clearly in the scope so you know what is covered.
